The Audi Certificate of Conformity (COC) is the official proof that your vehicle is approved for use within the European Union. Issued by the manufacturer, this document confirms that your vehicle fully complies with all applicable European safety and environmental standards.

By requesting your Audi COC documents, you ensure the smooth acceptance of your vehicle’s technical data by registration authorities and technical inspection bodies across Europe. It serves as a legally binding basis for vehicle tax calculation and for identifying all approved wheel and tyre combinations for models such as the Audi A3, A4, or A6.

• Engine specifications: Engine capacity, maximum net power at a specific engine speed, fuel type (e.g. diesel/hybrid), and the specific engine classification code.
• Dimensions and weights: Vehicle length, width and height, as well as kerb weight, maximum permissible mass, towing capacity (braked/unbraked), and vertical load.
• Emissions & taxation: Specific CO₂ values (combined, urban, extra-urban) according to WLTP or NEDC cycles, and the exact emissions standard (e.g. Euro 6d-TEMP), which directly determines your vehicle tax.
• Tyres: All manufacturer-approved tyre sizes and wheel specifications (essential for purchasing genuine Audi alloy wheels without additional approval).
• Additional data: Official manufacturer colour code, number of seats, stationary and drive-by noise levels in dB(A), and maximum speed.

The 17-digit VIN is essential to request your Audi COC document. You can find it here:

• In the vehicle registration certificate: In field "E" of your vehicle registration document.
• On the windscreen: Visible from outside on the driver’s side.
• In the engine bay: Engraved on the suspension strut tower or on the manufacturer’s plate in the door frame.
